Box Score Kings Point, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball gave up three early runs in the first inning, then could not get any offense going after that as they lost on the road to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 13-2, Thursday night in Kings Point.
The Lightning drops to 6-16 overall on the 2017 season as they start a road trip of 15 games spanning the rest of April.
Frances Vasquez drove in a run in a losing effort, while
Natanael Toribio plated a run of his own.
Jeffrey Ledesma and
Brandon Castillo each connected on two hits and scored the two runs for the squad.
Merchant Marine (8-14) got runs batted in from eight different players, including three RBI from Bryson Campbell. Starting pitcher Francis Grzymkowski drove in two RBI, and also gave up one run over six strong innings for the victory.

Jason Laguna. They would tack on a run in the third, followed by four runs in the fifth and three in the sixth and rolled to a win.
The team returns to action tomorrow afternoon in a doubleheader on the road, when they face Baruch College. First pitch for game one is set for 12:00 p.m. with game two following 20 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
