Box Score Brooklyn, N.Y. -- The Lehman College baseball team pushed early in the game, but allowed big-run innings late as they dropped a 15-10 decision to St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) at the American Legion Field in Brooklyn.
The Lightning fall to 6-19 overall, while the Bears improved their record to 11-13 overall.
Matthew Prevosti connected on two hits and drove in two runs while scoring two of his own.
Martin Bueno belted a pinch-hit solo home run in his lone at-bat for Lehman.

Jaime Maldonado each plated a run of their own in the losing effort.

Anthony Riley fell to 1-2 after allowing three earned runs (eight total) over four innings of work.
Lehman broke the scoreless tie in the top of the second with four runs in the frame. Maldonado ripped an RBI single, then Cuello (RBI) and Prevosti (two-run) followed with run-scoring base hits for four runs in the inning. After a St. Joseph's two-run homer in the second, Lopez knocked in a run on a base hit in the third to increase the advantage to 5-2.
St. Joseph's would respond in a big way in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs to capture the lead. They would score two in the fifth, one in the sixth and four more in the seventh innings to build a sizable advantage.
The team would tally three runs in the sixth thanks to a throwing error, wild pitch and a Castillo sacrifice fly. They would grab a run on an error in the eighth and Bueno would launch a pinch-hit homer in the ninth but would ultimately fall short.
The Lightning will continue their long road trip tomorrow afternoon, when they travel to face the College of Mount Saint Vincent. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m. in Riverdale.
