Bronx, N.Y. -- Both the Lehman College baseball and softball teams travel on the road Thursday afternoon, heading to the College of Old Westbury for a nonconference matchup. The baseball team has a nine-inning matchup starting at 4:00 p.m. while the softball team has a doubleheader starting at 3:00 p.m. with the second game followed at 5:00 p.m.
The baseball team (7-20) is coming off a having rally late in the game fall short in a 12-9 loss to Manhattanville Wednesday afternoon.Â
Christopher Lopez led the team in a losing effort, going three-for-four with a run scored and three RBI all on a three-run home run. Â
They will be facing the Panthers, who are 15-13 overall and coming off an extra-inning loss to New Jersey City University, 8-7 Tuesday night.
For the softball team (4-20) they are looking to snap a six-game losing streak. In their last game, they lost both games of a doubleheader at home to nonconference opponent Drew University, falling 10-2 in game one and 21-9 in game two Tuesday night at the South Field.Â
Maranda Diaz led the team over both games with three hits including a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in a losing effort.Â

Old Westbury is 6-8 on the season, and in their last games they dominated a doubleheader last Thursday with wins 18-0 and 12-9 against York (N.Y.).
