Bronx, N.Y. -- The Lehman College athletics program closes out the final weekend of April by starting with a busy slate of games Friday.
The baseball team will head to Brooklyn to play a makeup doubleheader with nonconference foe St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) Friday following a week where weather postponed multiple games. They look to close the month on a winning note, last defeating FDU-Florham 15-5 Monday night. In their last meeting with the Bears, they lost a wild 15-10 matchup April 17th.

The Lightning men's tennis team kicks off conference tournament play today at the APEX Tennis Courts, when the No. 4 seeded Lightning host No. 5 Brooklyn College in the CUNYAC Tournament quarterfinals at 4:00 p.m. They are coming into the playoffs winning four of their last five matches, including an 8-1 victory against the same Bulldogs Wednesday to clinch a home berth.
Elsewhere, the men's outdoor track & field team travels to Philadelphia for the annual Penn Relays, where the top teams compete in all the track and field events. Day two of events start at 2:00 p.m. today and continue Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
