Bronx, NY – The Lehman College baseball and softball teams were scheduled to hit the road later today. However, the baseball game was just postponed. The softball team will go up the road to the College of New Rochelle.
Standing water in the outfield at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex has forced the postponement of the Lehman - NJCU baseball game. A make-up date has yet to be announced.
The softball team will battle the College of New Rochelle in a double header starting at 6:00 pm at Flowers Park. Lehman enters today's action with a record of 1-11. The Lightning earned their victory in their last outing against John Jay. Lehman took the first game of the doubleheader 6-3 before falling 13-5. The Blue Angels have only played two games this season because of the weather. Back on March 25, they split games with the University of Maine Presque Isle winning the opener 9-8 and falling in the nightcap 15-5. The two schools are also scheduled to play a double header at Flowers Park on Friday afternoon.
