Lightning to Host Dolphins in CUNYAC Regular Season Finale

Bronx, NY - The Lehman College baseball team look to take the season series from the Dolphins this afternoon after the teams split a doubleheader yesterday on Staten Island.

In game one, the Lightning jumped out to a 2-0 lead after two innings thanks in part to a RBIs from Jeff Ledesma and a homer by Chris Lopez.  The Dolphins got one back in third but Lehman rallied and plated two in the fifth.  CSI added a run in the bottom of the frame and then erupted for seven runs in the sixth for the final score.

In game two, the Lightning again jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one.  CSI cut the deficit in half in the third and then scored twice in the fifth to take a 3-2 lead.  However, in Lehman's next at bat, singles by Brandon Castillo, Carlo Francisco, Matt Prevosti and Jaime Maldonado coupled with a wild pitch plated a pair of Lightning runs.  Harrison Paulino went the distance to record his first victory of the season.  He struck out three while scattering six hits.

Lehman enters today with a record of the 9-24 while the Dolphins stand at 23-9-1.

First pitch today is at 4:30 PM.
