Women’s Tennis Begins Conference Play ... Men’s Soccer Looks to Make it Six Straight

Bronx, NY – The Lehman College women's tennis team and men's soccer team will both be back in action later today.

Coach Ana Belzunce and her charge will open conference play hosting Brooklyn at 3:30 PM on the APEX Courts.  Since shutting our Sarah Lawrence to start the season at the beginning of the month the Lightning have struggled.  Lehman has dropped their last five and now stand at 1-5.  In their last outing the Lightning lost a heartbreaker 5-4 to Bard.  The Bulldogs come into this afternoons match with a record of 4-2.  They have won their last two matches, a 9-0 shutout over the College of New Rochelle and a 7-2 victory over Baruch.

The men's soccer team is riding a five game winning streak and now stand a 6-2, as they host Ramapo at 6:00 PM tonight.  In their most recent outing the Lightning defeated conference foe Hunter, in a rematch of last season's CUNYAC final, 1-0.  The Lightning goal game off the foot of Salh Alzubidi midway through the first half.  Alzubidi leads the Lightning in scoring with nine goals.  Ramapo (3-5) has dropped their last two matches, both in overtime.

Fans unable to make it to campus for the 6:00 PM kick-off can follow all of the action on line.
