Bronx, N.Y. – Two of Lehman College's athletic teams will be in action this Wednesday as men's soccer squad travels to face CUNYAC rival Hunter, while women's volleyball hosts St. Joseph's College-LI in non-conference affair.

The Lightning men's soccer team (5-5, 3-1 CUNYAC) are aiming for their fourth consecutive victory as they take on Hawks (2-6-1, 1-1-1 CUNYAC) at Randall's Island.  Kickoff is set for 3 pm on Wednesday and fans can follow the action via online live stats.


 
Lehman, which posted consecutive victories last week against York and Brooklyn, respectively has won the last four encounters against Hunter with the previous meeting taking place on September 23, 2017, as forward Salh Alzubidi scored game-winner (1-0) for visitors at Randall's Island.  The last time the Hawks defeated the Lightning was on October 15, 2014, 1-0 in overtime, at South Field.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, the Lightning women's volleyball side (4-9 ledger) return to The APEX Main Gym as they square off against Skyline Conference member – St. Joseph's-LI (8-7 record) at 7 pm.  Fans who cannot make it to the campus venue can follow all of the action online via live stats and live stream.


 


Lehman ended a five-match losing streak with a 3-2 (16-25, 12-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-13) road victory over Skyline member Purchase College over the weekend.  Meanwhile, Golden Eagles are coming off a split of matches at a Tri-Match in Baruch College on Saturday.  St. Joseph's-LI dropped 1-3 decision to Montclair State in the opener but rebounded to defeat hosts, 3-1, in the nightcap.

Last meeting between Lightning-Golden Eagles took place on Oct. 7, 2017 at Danzi Center in Patchogue, N.Y. when hosts won in three straight sets (25-13, 25-8, 25-11).
