The Lehman College baseball team (6-8) will face Rutgers-Newark (5-8) in a non-conference game. First pitch from Riverfront Stadium is 3:30 PM.
In their last outing the Lightning split game with John Jay. In the first game the Lightning prevailed 5-3. Manny Velasquez went five strong innings scattering five hits while striking out three. Rich Frommelt picked up the save, his second of the season. Mark Vargas and Natanael Toribio collected two hits apiece. In the nightcap the Lightning struck first, plating two runs in the top of the first but were unable to score again falling 8-2.
Rutgers Newark has not played in eight days. Their last outing was during a trip to California where the Raiders fell to Whittier College 5-3.
