Lightning and Panthers set to Tangle Again

The Lehman College baseball team will travel out to Long Island this afternoon to face Old Westbury in a rematch from 10 days ago.  First pitch from the Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex is slated for 2 PM. 

In the first meeting on the South Field the Lightning prevailed 12-5.  Lehman scored five runs in the first and added four more in the second to take control of the game.  The Panthers battled back with three in the fifth and one in the seventh before the Lightning plated three more in the home half of the seventh.  Jarret Oehler was credited with the win pitching six strong inning surrendering eight hits and striking out 12.  At the plate Julius Puryear and David Rodriguez each picked up three hits.  Namir Garcia drove in four runs as the Lightning pounded out 15 hits. 

Lehman enters the game with a 14-14 record winners of their last three.  Old Westbury is 12-13-1 and are coming off a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Ramapo.
