Baseball Hosts CSI on Senior Day....... Tennis Returns to Brooklyn for CUNYAC Championships

On this final weekend of the regular season the Lehman baseball team will host the Dolphins of Staten Island in a key CUNYAC doubleheader that has significant playoff implications.  The tennis team after getting postponed yesterday because of the weather travels to Brooklyn for the opening round of the CUNYAC Tennis Championships. 

Lehman enters the weekend with a 14-19 mark having dropped a season high five straight games.  CSI sits at 13-14.  The Dolphins dropped a hard fought 4-3 decision to FDU in their last time out.  Lehman lost a slugfest against Western Connecticut in which the Lightning belted out a season high 18 hits. 
 
Before the start of the doubleheader the Lightning will recognize the five seniors on the team, Rafael Delgadillo, Marcos Figueroa, Manny Velasquez, Natanael Toribio and Carlo Francisco, who are playing their final regular season games on the South Field. 
 
Fans unable to come to campus can follow all of the action on line via live stats and live stream. First pitch is scheduled for 12 PM.

Fifth seed Lehman College will travel to Brooklyn to face the Bulldogs at 11 AM this afternoon in the opening round of the CUNYAC Men's Tennis Championship.

The Lightning will take their 8-5:2-4 record to the Roosevelt Courts seeking revenge from 7-2 regular season loss at the hands of the Bulldogs.  Brooklyn enters the Championship as the number four seed and owns a 6-5:3-3 record.

Three doubles will kick-off off play followed by six singles matches.  The winner moves onto the semifinals where they will play top seed Baruch on Sunday at the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY.
