Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's swimming and diving team will hosts CUNYAC Match-up against Hunter College at The APEX Pool on Wednesday with the first race set for 6 pm. The Lightning and the Hawks have an overall record of 1-0, and will compete in their first conference dual meet.
Lehman is coming off an 83-55 home win over College at Old Westbury last week, while Hunter posted a 127-85 road victory against former CUNYAC rival, College of Staten Island over the weekend.
The Hawks have won 11 of 12 head-to-head meetings against the Lightning since 2007. The last Lehman victory against Hunter came on December 12, 2011 at The APEX Pool.
The previous encounter between the two sides took place on November 13, 2018 at Manhattan's North Pool with hosts Hawks winning 55-31.
Sarina Eshtiaghi led the way for the Lightning winning the 200 Freestyle (2:09.78) and 100 Backstroke (1:03.67), while
Patricia Gonzalez took first place in the 100 Breaststroke (1:31.38). The Lightning quartet of
Paola Gonzalez,
Arlette Garcia-Estudillo,
Citlalli Cureno and
Arizbeth Alvarez were declared winners in the 200 Freestyle Relay clocking in at 2:34.51.
