Bronx, N.Y. – Two Lehman College athletic teams will be in road action on Saturday as the baseball squad heads to Farmingdale State College for a doubleheader with first pitch set for 11 am, while the men's tennis side open its season at Manhattanville College at 1 pm.
The Lightning sluggers, who are currently 2-7 this season, are coming off a 14-1 loss to York College-Pa. at The Ripken Experience last Tuesday in Mytrle Beach, S.C. Meanwhile, Rams open their campaign this Saturday.
The last time both Lehman-Farmingdale slugged it out was on April 18, 2018, at South Field with the Lightning posting a 4-2 victory.
Elsewhere, men's tennis team, under interim coach
Steve Torres, will make its season debut on Saturday with a non-conference match-up against the winless Valiants (0-4) at Manhattanville Tennis Courts.
The Lightning, who are coming off an 8-6 record last season, are led by two-time CUNYAC All-Star and team captain
Michael Forte.
