Bronx, N.Y. – Two Lehman College athletic teams will be in CUNYAC action starting at 3 pm on Friday as baseball side hosts College of Staten Island (CSI) at South Field, while softball squad travels to Bellerose, N.Y. take on York College-NY in a doubleheader at Padavan-Preller Field.
The Lightning baseball (7-16; 1-2 CUNYAC) are coming off a non-conference twin-bill sweep of visiting Yeshiva University on Wednesday. After posting a last inning come-from-behind victory, 10-9, in the opener, Lehman easily won the nightcap, 17-4. Meanwhile, the CSI Dolphins (10-15; 2-4 CUNYAC) a 5-2 home win against conference rival Baruch College on Thursday.
The Dolphins hold a 28-5 overall head-to-head record against the Lightning since 2008, however, Lehman has won three of the last five meetings. The previous encounters took place on April 28, 2018 with each team winning a game during the conference doubleheader at South Field. The Lightning took the opener 20-5, while Dolphins claimed the nightcap, 7-1.

Elsewhere, Lehman softball team (7-12; 2-0 CUNYAC) continues conference play against winless York (0-10; 0-6 CUNYAC) on Friday.
The Lightning are coming off a 25-0 non-conference victory over visiting University of Valley Forge on Tuesday at South Field, while the Cardinals dropped two games to the same Valley Forge side, 11-0; 22-8, over the weekend.
Lehman has won 13 of the last 14 head-to-head encounters against York. The previous encounters between the two sides took place on Apr. 7, 2018, at South Field with the Lightning sweeping the doubleheader with victories of 10-2 and 13-2 in six and five, innings, respectively.
