Baseball Travels To Manhattanville On Tuesday

Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team will travel to take on Manhattanville College in a non-conference game on Tuesday with first pitch set for 3:30 pm.  The Lightning hold a 7-19 overall record, while the Valiants have a 15-13 ledger.

Lehman, which is looking to end a three-game losing skid, dropped both encounters of CUNYAC twin-bill on Sunday to hosts College of Staten Island.  The Lightning lost 15-6 in the opener with catcher Anthony Riley going 2-for-4 with two RBI.  In the nightcap, infielder Mark Vargas paced Lehman with a three-run homer, however it wasn't enough as the team fell, 7-5.
 
Meanwhile, Manhattanville dropped its second consecutive game on Sunday, losing 7-6 at Eastern University in St. Davis, Pa.
 
The Valiants lead the head-to-head series against the Lightning 22-15 since 1982, however in the last four meetings each team has won two games apiece.  The previous encounter between the two sides took place on April 19, 2017, with Manhattanville defeating visiting Lehman 12-9.
