The Lehman College baseball and softball teams will both be in action today as the baseball team will host St. Joseph's of Brooklyn at 5 PM on the South Field and the softball squad will travel to Queens to face York in a single softball game at 1:30 PM.
The Lightning baseball team enters play with a record of 9-21. The Bears of St. Joes stand at 13-17-1.
Last year the teams also met on the South Field with the Lightning coming away with an 8-5 victory. Manny Velasquez picked up the win and
Jarret Oehler recorded the save, The Lightning had built up a 7-0 lead before the Bears rallied with four runs in the sixth. Four different players recorded multiple hits for Lehman including two hits by Mike Zerbo.

Today's softball game is was supposed to be part of of doubleheader back on April 12 but the second game was rained out. In the first game, the Lightning prevailed 21-0.
Diamond Villegas picked up her sixth win of the season striking out 13. Villegas,
Stephany Cruz and
Marina Delgado each recorded multiple hits. Lehman enters the game with a record of 8-16 overall and 3-2 in conference play. York has struggled this season and are still looking for their first win at 0-13:0-7.
