For the past three years, Mike Mader was an assistant men's basketball coach at Lehman College and just recently he submitted his resignation to accept the Head Coach position at Vermont Tech, where he will guide the women's team. 
 
"Becoming a head coach was always a dream and I'm glad I was given the opportunity," commented Mader.
 
Mader went on to say; "I loved working at Lehman College. I am grateful to the players, coaches, and staff that made my experience an enjoyable one. I am especially grateful to Coach Schulman for giving me the opportunity to be a part of his staff and showing me how to run a program. I'm excited for this new opportunity but will always have fond memories of my time in the Bronx."
 
Mader and his charge open the season the season at the Northern Vermont University Tip-off Tournament on November 6-7.  Last year the Knights went 14-10.
