Bronx, N.Y. – Five Lehman College athletics team will see action on Wednesday as both (men's & women's) soccer squads travel to Randall Island's, N.Y. to face CUNYAC opponents; while men's and women's cross country sides commence the season in with a meet at Delhi, N.Y.; and women's volleyballers hosts Pratt Institute in non-conference match-up.
The Lightning men's soccer (3-3-1; 1-1 CUNYAC) kickoff Wednesday action at 3 pm ET with a key conference encounter against Hawks of Hunter College (1-7; 1-1 CUNYAC). Lehman is coming off a 4-0 home victory against CUNYAC rival Medgar Evers College last Saturday, thanks to pair of goals from striker
Mubarak Ouro and one each from forward
Ebenezer Otoo and midfielder
Eduardo Victorio. Meanwhile, Hunter posted is coming off a 2-0 shut-out win at Brooklyn College.
The Lightning hold an 8-5-1 overall ledger against the Hawks in head-to-head meetings since 2009. Lehman has won five of the last eight encounters against Hunter. In the previous match-up, Ouro scored with five minutes remaining to give the Lightning a 1-0 triumph on October 2, 2019.
Also, at Randall's Islands soccer fields on Wednesday, Lehman women's side (3-3) will once again face Beavers of CCNY (3-5), but in a non CUNYAC encounter, at 6:30 pm ET. The Lightning recently earned a 2-1 triumph on the road over non-conference opponent Purchase College this past Monday. Forward

The Beavers hold an 8-5 advantage in the head-to-head series against the Lightning since 2012. The last meeting between the two sides took place last month (September 29
th) at South Field with CCNY posting a 3-1 conference win.
Elsewhere on Wednesday, both Lehman cross country teams in its season opener as they compete at Bronco Classic hosted by SUNY Delhi. The first race is set for 5:15 pm ET The College Golf Course in Delhi, N.Y. Fans can follow the action via

Rounding out Wednesday's action are the Lightning women's volleyball (0-7) aims to end its 12-match losing skid when it welcomes Cannoneers of Pratt Institute (8-3) at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 7 pm ET. Fans can follow all the volleyball action via

Lehman is coming off a three set non-conference loss to visiting Bard College (17-25, 17-25, 11-25) on Tuesday, while over the weekend hosts Pratt posted a three-set victory (25-10, 25-16, 25-23) against King's College-NY.
The last time the Lightning-Cannoneers faced off was on Sept. 26, 2015, at the APEX Main Gym with the hosts winning in three sets (25-12, 25-10, 26-24).
