Box Score New York, N.Y. - Three second half goals propelled the Lehman College Men's Soccer team (4-3-1:2-1) to a 3-0 victory over CUNYAC rival Hunter (1-8:1-2) in a rare 3:00 PM on start on Randall's Island.
Mubarak Ouro got the Lightning on the board in the 58th minute.
Mohammad Jagne slipped a perfect through ball for Ouro to run onto and beat the keeper on a breakaway on the left side of the goal. Three minutes later,
Ryuji Sugiyama recorded his first goal of the season off an Edouardo Victorio pass. Victorio himself rounded out the scoring in the 78
th minute.
The game was scoreless at half with both teams registering seven shots. In the final 45 minutes the Lightning turned things up a notch outshooting the Hawks 11-1. Lehman goalkeeper
Demiraldo Grunasi was only called upon to make two saves, both in the first half. It was his second consecutive shutout and third of the year.
The Lightning will travel to Brooklyn early Saturday morning for a 10 AM kick-off against York College.
