Bronx, N.Y. - The Lehman College men's and women's swimming team fell in a non-conference dual meet with visiting Western Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon at The APEX Pool with the men's losing 150-64, while the women dropped a 173-52 decision.
The Lightning women (1-2) were led by
Patricia Gonzalez against WestConn (1-3) as she took silver in 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke at times of 1:14.32 and 1:32.06, respectively. Also,
Ofelia Valadez just missed the gold for Lehman by three seconds in 100 IM as she clocked in 1:17.44.
The Lightning men (0-2) were paced by
Christopher Ramirez against WestConn (1-1-1) as he claimed silver in the 200 Freestyle (2:35.22) and bronze in the 100 Freestyle (1:08.50). Meanwhile,
Raymond Burdier finished second in 100 Freestyle at a time of 1:07.75.
Lehman is back in action on December 7
th when it hosts Maritime College in a non-conference meet at The APEX Pool with the first event set for 6 pm ET.
