Four Lightning Sides In Action On Saturday

Bronx, N.Y. – Four Lehman College athletic teams will see action this Saturday as men's volleyball squad hosts York College-NY; baseball travels to face John Jay College; and both (men's and women's) outdoor track and field sides commence their season at Wesleyan University.

Saturday's action for the Lightning begins at 10 am ET with the men's and women's outdoor track and field teams compete at Wesleyan's J. Elmer Swan Spring Classic in Middletown, Conn.  All events will take place at The Andersen Track and fans can follow the action via live stream.

Also on Saturday, the Lehman volleyballers (6-13; 2-8 CUNYAC) take on the York Cardinals (0-11; 0-7 CUNYAC) at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 12 pm ET.  Fans can follow all the action via live stream.

The Lightning are coming off a three-set conference loss at Hunter College on Thursday, while the Cardinals also dropped three straight sets on the road to CUNYAC rival Brooklyn College.

Lehman holds a slim 19-18 edge in the head-to-head encounters against York-NY since 2008.  The last time both sides met was on earlier this month (March 10th) at York Gymnasium with the Lightning winning 3-1 (25-15, 25-14, 19-25, 25-6).

Rounding out Saturday's action is Lehman baseball (2-2; 0-0 CUNYAC) squaring off against John Jay Bloodhounds (0-16; 0-0 CUNYAC) in doubleheader at Brooklyn's Maimonides Park (MCU Park) with first pitch scheduled for 12 pm ET.  Fans can follow all the action via live stats and live stream.

The Lightning are coming off a non-conference twin-bill sweep of visiting Yeshiva University on Wednesday.  After winning the opener 14-2, Lehman also took the nightcap by a score of 12-2.

Meanwhile, the Bloodhounds dropped a 13-7 non-conference decision at Centenary University-NJ on Tuesday.
