Bronx, N.Y. – Four Lehman College athletic teams will be in action on Saturday as baseball and softball squads face CUNYAC opponents, while the men's and women's outdoor track and field sides travels to Millersville, Pa. to compete at 39th Millersville Metrics.
Saturday's competition begins at 9:30 am ET with the first event for the Lightning track and field stars at Millersville Metrics, hosted by Millersville University. Fans can follow all the action via

Lehman is coming off a successful invitational meet at Mount St. Mary's College-NY last weekend in Newburgh, N.Y. Elsie Sapthy won Long Jump (4.29m) for the women's side, while Aminate Sissoko finished third in the Javlin (1.30m). On the Lightning men's squad,
Kuron Williams finished fifth in 110m Hurdles (18.86) and Javelin (38.28m), while the quartet of
Obinna Njoku II,
Keyshawn Peterson,
Kemar Anderson and
Jayden Fernandez placed sixth in the 4 X 400 relay (4:05.69).
Also, this Saturday, the Lehman baseball squad (3-3; 1-1 CUNYAC) hosts conference rival CCNY (2-11; 0-2 CUNYAC) in a twin-bill at South Field with the first pitch set for noon. Fans can follow all the action via

The Lightning are coming off a CUNYAC doubleheader split at John Jay College over the weekend at Brooklyn's Maimonides Park.
Nomar Rijo drove in three runs, while
Patrick Ortiz added two RBI for Lehman's 12-8 victory in the opener. However, despite
Tran Hennessy's three RBI, the Lightning dropped the nightcap to the Bloodhounds 10-7.
Meanwhile, CCNY Beavers, enters today's contest with a mark of 2-11:0-2. In their last outing they dropped a 10-4 decision to NYU this past Wednesday.
Lehman holds a slim 15-14 edge in the head-to-head meetings against CCNY since 2009, with the Lightning winning two of the last three encounters. The last time both sides squared off was on April 29, 2019, as the teams split a CUNYAC doubleheader at South Field. After hosts took the opener 13-8, the Beavers came-from-behind and won the nightcap, 11-10.
Lehman softball side (2-2; 0-0 CUNYAC) round out Saturday's action as it takes on hosts Baruch College (6-6; 0-0 CUNYAC) in conference twin-bill at Flowers Park in New Rochelle, N.Y.
The Lightning are coming off a home doubleheader sweep of non-conference rival Yeshiva University last week at South Field. Lehman took the opener 24-1 with
Kaycee Isley and
Taina Santamaria pacing the offense as they each drove in five runs, while
Samantha Nazar pitched a five-inning one-hitter with 12 strikeouts. In the nightcap, Lehman posted an 18-2 victory, with
Dolly Diaz leading the way with six RBI, while
Sky Mercado pitched five strong innings with six strikeouts for her first collegiate win.
Meanwhile, Baruch Bearcats took both ends of a doubleheader from Brooklyn yesterday. They defeated the Bulldogs 11-2 and 12-4 and now stand at 8-6 overall and 2-0 in conference play

Baruch has a 16-9 advantage in the head-to-head series against Lehman since 2005, however, the Lightning have won six of the last seven encounters. The previous match-up between the two sides took place at South Field on Apr. 6, 2019, with the hosts sweeping a twin-bill, 6-1, 8-3.
