Box Score 2 Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team dropped two CUNYAC encounters to hosts CCNY, by scores of 7-3 and 8-7, respectively, at Ohio Field on the campus of Bronx CC on Saturday. The Lightning fall to 6-12 overall record and 4-6 in CUNYAC action, while the Beavers improve to 5-21 mark and 3-7 in conference play.
After dropping the opener, Lehman jumped out to a 4-1 lead after three innings of action. CCNY staged a comeback with four runs in the fourth inning to take a 5-4 advantage.
The Lightning once again regained the lead (7-5) scoring one in the fifth and two more in the sixth inning. However, the Beavers staged another comeback when three batters crossed the plate the bottom of sixth and held on for the victory.
Nomar Rijo led the offense for Lehman going three-for-three with a run scored and RBI, while Ranssel Pinedo went two-for-three with a run scored and RBI.
The Lightning return to action on Tuesday when they travel to take on College at Old Westbury for a non-conference match-up with first pitch set for 6 pm ET.
