Box Score 2 New Rochelle, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team dropped a pair of CUNYAC encounters on Saturday afternoon to hosts Baruch College, 12-1 and 8-5, respectively, at Flowers Park. The Lightning fall to 5-6 record and 3-3 in CUNYAC action, while the Bearcats go to 5-6 mark and 4-0 in conference play.
After managing just, a single run in the opener, Lehman quickly rebounded a took a 3-2 lead after two innings during the twin-bill's nightcap.
The Bearcats battled back to take an 8-3 advantage going into the seventh inning. The Lightning did get two more on the scoreboard in the top of seventh, however the hosts held on for the victory.
Kevin Arias, who drove in the only run for Lehman in the opener, added another one in the second game against Baruch.
Tran Hennessy and
Ranssel Pinedo also added RBI for the Lightning in the nightcap.
Lehman returns to South Field on Tuesday when it welcomes Saint Elizabeth University in a non-conference doubleheader with the first pitch set for 3 pm ET.
