Bright Takyi gave the Lehman College men's soccer team a 2-0 triumph over hosts Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC encounter on Wednesday afternoon at BC Field. The Lightning improve to a 3-3-2 overall record and 1-0 in CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs drop to 0-8-1 mark and 0-1 on conference play.
After a scoreless first half with Lehman outshooting Brooklyn 8-3, the Lightning finally broke through the Bulldogs' defense in the 49
th minute-mark when Takyi notched his first collegiate goal.
The second Lightning tally came in 60
th minute when forward
Malik Lashley's shot was saved by Bulldogs' goalkeeper Hady Bakry, however Ali Sogoba got the rebound and scored.
Lehman netminder
Demiraldo Grunasi was credited for making one save for his first shutout of the season.
