The Lehman College men's soccer team dropped their season opener 3-0 on the road at Farmingdale (1-0).
The Lightning kept the game scoreless until the 42nd minute when Joseph Raso beat Lightning keeper Daniel Morales high to the left side off a feed from Daniel Rivas. The Rams doubled their advantage early in the second half as Michael Lanouette beat the Lightning keeper low to the left side. Rivas was once again credited with the assist. Farmingdale tallied their third and final goal of the afternoon in the 58th minute when Anthony Bileddo found the back of the net just right of the Lightning goalie.
Morales was lifted in the 71st minute, leaving the game with one save. Andres Barajas finished the contest with a pair of saves.
The Lightning were outshot 16-5 and the Rame held a 5-2 advantage in corners.
The Lightning return to action on Wednesday evening as they travel to New Paltz to take on the Hawks. Kick-off is slated for 5:00 PM.
