Mohamed Ali Sogoba led the Lehman College men's soccer team to a 3-1 triumph over visiting John Jay College, in another key CUNYAC encounter, at South Field, on Saturday. The Lightning improved to a 6-6-2 overall record and 4-0-2 in conference play, while the Bloodhounds dropped to a 3-8-2 mark and 2-2-1 in CUNYAC action.

After midfielder Brayan Alvarez tied it for the Bloodhounds in the 58th minute-mark, Sogoba notched his second tally for the Lightning off a double-assist from forward
Alexander Agyemang and defender
Nhlakanipho Linda.

Joseph Ademola Opesanwo closed out the scoring for Lehman with five minutes remaining, while goalkeeper
Andres Barajas had just one save for the victory.
The victory extends the Lightning overall unbeaten streak to seven games as they are also now in a three-way tie for first place in CUNYAC Standings behind Baruch College (4-0-2) and CCNY (4-0-2).
The playoff bound Lehman will look to secure a first-round bye when it hosts Baruch in a the regular season finale on Wednesday (October 23rd) at South Field with kickoff set for 6:30 pm ET.
