Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's soccer lost a 2-1 non-conference heartbreaker at home to Western Connecticut State on Monday evening at South Field. The Lightning go to a 1-4 overall record, while the Wolves improved to a 2-2-1 mark.
Forward Kamal Sabar opened the scoring for Western Connecticut in the 11th minute-mark. Midfielder Nicholas Tellez notched the Wolves' second goal of the game with eight minutes remaining off an assist from forward Maximus Vigo.
Lehman got on the board in the 85th minute with a tally from forward
Ian Lanter, however Western Connecticut held on for the victory.
The Lightning returns to action on Wednesday (September 18th) when it travels to a take on New Jersey City University, in a non-conference match, with kickoff now set for 1:30 pm ET.
