Swimming Sides Drop Meet At Baruch

New York, N.Y. – Both Lehman Swimming Teams dropped their respective CUNYAC meets to hosts Baruch College on Friday at the ARC Aquatic Center as the men's side lost 119-39, while the women's squad fell 80-34.

The highlight for the Lightning men (2-4; 0-1 CUNYAC) was Kenan Suwan and Joseph Fernandez as they each won their respective races, 100 Breaststroke (1:44.16) and 400 Freestyle (7:41.39).

For the Lehman women (1-6; 0-2 CUNYAC), Gisley Velez claimed gold in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 1:30.04.  Velez along with Mariella Nunez, Maria Pagsuyoin and Lissa Perez were on the winning 200 Freestyle Relay Team as they clocked in at 3:08.02.

The Lightning are back in action on Saturday (January 18th) when they travel to a take on Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC match-up at 1 pm ET.
