Jamaica, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's soccer team remains unbeaten after seven games this season as it played to a 1-1 draw with hosts York College-NY, in CUNYAC encounter, on Wednesday afternoon at the York College Outdoor Athletic Complex. The Lightning go to a 4-0-3 overall record and 0-0-1 in conference play, while the Cardinals improved to a 1-3-3 mark and 0-0-1 in CUNYAC action.
Lehman got on the scoreboard first in the opening five minutes with an unassisted tally from midfielder Cameron Dennis.
In the second half, midfielder Jamar Johnson notched the equalizer for York-NY in the 75th minute-mark off an assist from teammate Andres Castro.
Despite outshooting the Cardinals, 25 to 10, the Lightning could not get the winning goal as its the first time since 2013 that Lehman does not walk off the field as the victors against York-NY as it also ended a 10-game winning streak in head-to-head encounters.
The Lightning continue CUNYAC action on Saturday (October 4th) when it hosts John Jay College at South Field.
