The Lehman College Outdoor track and Field Teams competed the past two days at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College in New London.
The Lightning women were led by their sprinters. Cheyenne Gray-Taitt posted a14.33 in the 100m and a 30.99 in the 200m. Garyana Altidor clocked in at 16.53 in the 100m. In the 400m, Amariah Emanuel-Tyler and Gwendelyn Acosta posted a 1:37.24 and 1:53.87 respectively. Emanuel-Tyler, Altidor, Gray-Taitt teamed with Mariella Nunez in the 4 X 100 relay to place 11th with a time of 1:06.46. Gray-Taitt and Emanuel-Tyler also competed in the long jump posting marks of 4.06m and 3.74 m respectively.
On the men's side, Quincy Miller posted a 12.09 in the 100m. Rismond Agyemang posted a 12.26 in the 100m and 25.30 in the 200m. Oludemilade Lekan Michael posted a 1:01.91 in the 400m and followed that up with 1:14.23 in the 400 Hurdles. The 4 X 100 relay squad of Brian Cruz, Agyemang, Miller and Linbel Loveres placed eighth with a time of 46.91. Jormy Polo posted a 4.61m in the long jump and a 12.97m in the discus. Emmanuel Fagbile's mark of 7.49m in the shot put and 15.32m in the javelin. Charles Howard posted a 24.80m in the hammer and a 23.97m in the discus.
Next weekend the Lightning will travel to New Jersey to compete in the Wolverine Classic hosted by Essex Community College.
