Newark, N.J. – Both Lehman College outdoor track and field teams took part in the Wolverine Classic, hosted by Essex County College, on Friday with the Lightning finishing in the top ten in eight individual events.
For the Lehman men,
Brian Cruz led the way as was runner-up in the 110 Hurdles (29.50 and placed third in the Discus Throw (33.73). Cruz along with Linbel Loveres,
Quincy Miller,
Rismond Agyemang captured the bronze in the 4x100m with a time of 42.80. Also, Oludemilade Lehan Michael was seventh in the 400m Hurdles (1:08.65), while
Charles Howard claimed the ninth spots in Shot Put (8.81) and Discus Throw (23.76), respectively.
For the Lightning women,
Cheyenne Gray-Taitt and
Shivani Raghuthu finished 10th in the 100m (14.28) and 800m (3:10.35), respectively.
Lehman returns to action on Wednesday (April 23rd) when it travels to Kean University to compete at the Cougar Sprinter Showcase.
