Staten Island, N.Y. – Both Lehman College men's and women's indoor track and field teams participated at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational on Friday, where the Lightning had 10 athletes finishing in the top 30 at individual events against Division I, II and III teams.

Charles Howard led the way for the Lehman men as he finished 16th in the Weight Throw (11.74m), while Jormy Polo was two places behind his teammate at 10.86m. Marc Saint-Hilaire was 18th in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:06.47, while Mohamed Donzo got 5.13m (27th) in the Long Jump. In the Shot Put, Polo (29th) and Howard (30th) got 9.62m and 9.48m, respectively.

For the Lightning women, Elainne Rojas Mesa (25th) and Abena Abankwa (26th) obtained 7.67m and 7.41m, respectively, in the Weight Throw, while Torri-Ann Taylor clocked in at 8.87 (30th) in the 60 Meter Dash. Abankwa (25th) and Rojas Mesa (27th), had 8.48m and 8.34m, in the Shot Put, respectively.

Lehman returns to action next Friday (January 16th) when it heads to The Armory in Upper Manhattan to compete in the Ramapo College Indoor Opener.
