Both the Lehman College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the Purple & Gold Meet (March 20–21, 2026) in Chester County, PA, putting together a solid weekend highlighted by personal records, top finishes, and strong relay performances.
Cameron Dennis had a 7th-place finish in the 400 meters (52.25 seconds), while
Joshua Bennett clocked 11.84 seconds in the 100 meters.
Tyler Rosa added a 25.20 seconds finish in the 200 meters and a 5.50-meter mark in the long jump.
In the distance events, Marc Saint-Hilaire recorded a personal-best 2:02.45 minutes in the 800 meters, while
Oludemilade Lekan Michael placed 4th overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase (13:17.16 minutes) and later finished 12th in the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.62 minutes).
The throwers were led by
Charles Howard, who posted a personal-best 26.52 meters in the discus along with marks in the hammer, javelin, and shot put.
Jormy Polo added a 19.99-meter throw, while
Jalen Alvarado contributed a 4.67-meter mark in Long Jump and
Jahu Johnson with a 1.60-meter mark in High Jump. Lehman closed out the meet with a 4x400-meter relay time of 3:53.91 minutes.
On the women's side, the Lightning competed across sprints and field events.
Christalyn Thomas and
Naomi Felton led the sprint group in both the 100 and 200 meters, while
Malalia Siafa-Bangura ran 1:11.89 in the 400 meters.
In the field events,
Abena Abankwa stood out with personal-best marks of 16.29 meters in the discus and 9.56 meters in the shot put, while
Amariah Emanuel-Tyler added a PR of 6.74 meters in the shot put along with marks in the discus, javelin, and long jump.
Alanis Vasquez and
Enalyse Pacheco also contributed to the throws, with Pacheco earning a 9th-place overall finish (27.63 meters) and Vasquez had a 16.69-meter mark in Discus. The women's 4x400-meter relay team finished in 5:22.11 .
Lehman College will look to carry this momentum into their next competition at the Lebanon Valley College Blue & White Open in Annville, PA next Saturday (3/28) as the outdoor season continues.
