Box Score 2 Yaphank, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team dropped a CUNYAC twin-bill (19-4, 25-2) against the hosts CCNY at Lasorda Legacy Park on Friday. The Lightning go to a 2-18 overall record and 2-4 in conference play, while the Beavers improved to an 8-14 mark and 2-2 in CUNYAC action.
After Lehman came back to tie the game 4-4, CCNY scored 15 consecutive runs for the victory in the opener. Infielder
Damian Delgadillo led the Lightning offense as he went two-for-four with homer and three RBI, while outfielder
Argenis Sanchez was two-for-three.
In the nightcap, Lehman jumped out to an early lead (1-0) in the top of the first, however CCNY crossed home plate 11 times to pace itself to another win and a doubleheader sweep. Outfielder
Daniel McCrink was two-for-three with a run scored for the Lightning, while Sanchez was two-for-four.
Lehman is back in action next Tuesday (April 14th) when it travels to Lyndhurst, N.J., to take on Yeshiva University, in a non-conference twin-bill, with first pitch set for 4 pm ET.
