Bronx, N.Y. – The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) released its 2026 women's volleyball preseason poll this week, with Lehman College selected to finish sixth by the league's head coaches.
The Lightning garnered 19 points in the voting, placing them ahead of York College (13 points) and Medgar Evers College (7 points).
Two-time defending conference champion John Jay College took the top spot in the poll, securing four first-place votes and 45 points. Brooklyn College followed closely in second with two first-place votes (40 points), while Hunter College rounded out the top three with 36 points. Baruch College (35 points) and CCNY (29 points) each snagged a single first-place vote to occupy the fourth and fifth positions.
Lehman will commence its 2026 campaign on September 10th at Pratt Institute, while its home opener will take place five days later against Mount St. Mary's-NY.
