Lehman College Athletics

Desirae Ross was an exceptional player during her tenure at Lehman College. One of the hardest-working individuals to make her way through Lehman College’s women’s basketball program, Ross led by example and set a positive precedent for the rest of her teammates. Desirae completed her career with 1,275 points, and was selected as a Second-Team CUNYAC All-Star in three of her four seasons on the squad while also being selected as a Hudson Valley First Team All-Star twice. Desirae Ross also ranks third in three-point shots made with 115. A two-year team captain, Ross led the Lightning to its first championship game appearance in 2002.

As a player, Ross was greatly admired for her intensity and for her will to be the best that she could be while helping her team achieve success. The legacy that she left behind is one that will always be remembered when people mention some of the greatest student-athletes to ever compete at the institution.
