A consummate team player, former Lehman College women’s basketball player Ivelisse Rosario brought a team-first, championship mentality to the women’s basketball program during her tenure as a player. The intensity and feistiness that Rosario exemplified on the court as a player set a great example for every women’s basketball team that has taken the court since she graduated and logged on as an assistant to Head Coach Eric Harrison. A four-year team captain, she is currently second on Lehman’s all-time three point shots made list with 183, and she also ranks second in assists with 358. During her playing career, she started in an amazing 110 games for the Lightning, not missing a single game during her career. Rosario was a key reason why the women’s basketball team qualified for the CUNY championship game in 2002. In 2007, as an assistant coach, she played a pivotal role in helping the women’s basketball team at Lehman College capture its first CUNY championship.
