The Lightning women will look to bounce back from a tough 81-77 overtime defeat at the hands of the College of Staten Island this past Wednesday evening. In that game, Lehman trailed by 13 in the early stages of the first half, but rallied to grab control of the game, taking an 11 point lead with just under eight minutes remaining. The Dolphins stormed back to tie the game, sending the contest to an extra session where Staten Island pulled ahead for good and won the game. Head Coach Eric Harrison knows bouncing back tonight is vital.

“We had a tough loss to Staten Island, but our goal of obtaining the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC tournament is still in focus,” Harrison said. “We need to play better and execute more efficiently in these conference games, and I feel our players are ready to go tonight at Hunter. The Hawks are always a tough team to face, especially in their building, but I feel we'll be up to the challenge. It should be fun.”

The Lehman College men's team is coming off a 71-57 victory over the Dolphins this past Wednesday. The Lightning and Dolphins went into the locker room tied at 26 apiece, but Lehman pulled away in the second half by shooting a blistering 52.2 percent from the floor and holding CSI to a 39.3 percent clip from the floor. The victory improved Lehman's record to 9-4 on the season, and upped its mark to 3-0 in conference play. Head Coach Steven Schulman would like to see the Lightning continue its terrific play tonight.

“Hunter is a well-rounded, well-coached team, and their team is coming off of a loss so they'll be coming out of the gate ready to play, and I believe our guys will be ready as well,” Schulman said. “The key for our team is to play smart, limit turnovers, and play together. So far our record on the road speaks for itself, so hopefully tonight we can keep up the good karma on the road.”
