The Lehman College Men's Basketball Team visited with students from PS 75 in the Bronx this past week. 
 
Ricky Dixon and Kofi Mends along with Assistant Coach Jean Marcial Kofi talked about their experience at the college level and shared some advice on developing their game and their lives through the game of basketball.  Coach Marcial spoke to them through the coaching lens and how we try teach them to become positive members of society. Ricky and Kofi then went on to teach them minor drills that they can do to improve their game. The big emphasis and take away was on behavior and how it effects them and the people around them.
 
"I enjoy giving back to the community, it shows them that someone who looks like them has a chance to be successful," commented Dixon.  Mends went on to say, "Giving back is my way of paying it forward, try to show kids that basketball can take you to college." 
 
 
"Growing up one of my mentors taught me the value of giving back, teaching our guys that value, and showing them that even though they aren't on tv and on a national stage that they can still positively impact a person's life. By simply walking in a gym and sharing their experiences," stated Marcial.
