ECAC Bestows Honors to Schulman and Ndiaye

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2026 Division III Men's Basketball All-ECAC Teams and major award winners.

Lightning skipper Steve Schulman was voted Coach of the Year while Amar Ndiaye was named All ECAC 2nd Team.

Schulman led the Lightning to an undefeated CUNYAC regular season title and post season crown.  He also guided the Lightning to the NCAA Tournament.  It was only the second time that Lehman participated in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.  Lehman edned the 2025-26 season with a record of 21-7.


Ndiaey, a senior averaged 11.6 points and 10.9 rebounds per game to lead the Lightning to a 14-0 CUNYAC record, the CUNYAC Title and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.  He also led the team with 61 blocked shots and a shooting percentage of .538. 
He ranks 4th in the country in offensive rebounding and 8th total rebounds.  He also ranks 20th in double-doubles and 17th in blocked shots. He has also been named the CUNYAC Player of the Year, D3hoops.comAll Region and an NABC All  Region.

The ECAC is an eighty-six year old intercollegiate athletics organization with roughly 200 member schools for traditional sports across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III - that exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in NCAA sports, and provide great value for universities, by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the country. The ECAC also hosts a comprehensive esports program, with over 300 schools, 4,000 teams and 10,000-plus participants in twenty-four different games titles.
