The Lehman College Men's Basketball team (2-4 Overall, 1-0 CUNYAC) won their second consecutive game, defeating the Beavers of City College of New York (1-5 Overall, 0-1 CUNYAC) in a CUNYAC contest by the score of 67-46 Tuesday evening at the APEX Center in the Bronx.

Following the victory, Head Coach Steven Schulman gave his thoughts.
“This is our second consecutive win, and our second straight home victory at that,” Schulman said. “Basically tonight, we won our first conference game of the season and jumped over .500 on our home floor, so things are starting to head in the right direction. Now we'll look towards the John Jay game and try to keep rolling.”
Lehman College tallied 13 steals in the victory compared to nine for the Beavers, and Lehman also dished 14 assists in the contest to CCNY's seven. The Lightning also won the turnover battle, committing 18 miscues while forcing 22. Lehman also shot 37 percent from the floor, while the Beavers connected on just 27 percent of their shots.
Despite the loss for the Beavers of the City College of New York, junior Guard Xavier Gonzalez netted 10 points with five rebounds. Fellow Teammates Ben Washington and Matas Rascius chipped in with six points apiece.
The Lightning will return to action on Wednesday as Lehman travels to John Jay College to battle the Bloodhounds at the Doghouse, with game-time scheduled for 7:15pm.
