Castro tallied seven kills for the match while recording three digs, and Angel Fernandez recorded 19 assists. Following the matches, Lehman College head coach Wolfgang Lucena gave his thoughts.
“I really love the way we came out today and showed our energy and our fight,” Lucena said. “The Brooklyn match was played at 9:00am, but the team came out focused and took care of business. As for the Baruch College match – that is a very good team over there and I felt as though we put forward a sound effort despite not being able to come away with a victory. I'm extremely proud of the way these guys played today.”
The Lehman College men's volleyball team will continue its season on Tuesday evening as the Lightning head back to the York College Gymnasium, but this time it's for a conference match with the Cardinals. Start-time is scheduled for 7:00pm.
