Oscar Calderon has been named the CUNYAC Sportsmanship Award recipient as voted by the conference's men's volleyball coaches.
 
Oscar represents what it truly means to respect the game of volleyball. He is not just a team player, but someone who genuinely loves the sport and respects everyone involved in it. He consistently shows sportsmanship toward opponents, often congratulating players on great plays, even when those plays are against him.
 
He has gone out of his way to offer encouragement, advice, and support to players on opposing teams, showing a level of respect that goes beyond competition. His attitude, energy, and love for the game are evident every time he steps on the court.
