Men's Basketball Rolls Over Medgar Evers College, 83-46

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team scored early and often, en route to an 83-46 victory at host Medgar Evers College on Wednesday night. With the win, the Lightning have swept the Cougars in the regular season series.

Lehman (10-7, 5-4 CUNYAC) jumped out to an 8-2 lead early, with sophomore Jerrome Jones (Bronx, N.Y./Mt. Vernon) scoring the game's first five points. Lehman led by as many as 27 points in the first half, on a three-pointer by senior Stanley Stephens (New York, N.Y./Manhattan Center) with 19 seconds remaining.

For the game, Lehman dominated the paint, holding a 52-20 scoring advantage. Ten different Lightning players scored, led by Stephens' 24. Jones dropped 16, while junior Jonathan Greenfield (Hartford, Conn./Windsor) added 11. Junior Kevan Proctor (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grand Street Campus) led the team with 12 rebounds and six blocked shots.

Up next, the Lightning will travel to Hunter College on Friday, January 24.
