BRONX, N.Y. – Tonight is the season opener for the Lehman College men's volleyball team, as the Lightning will host Yeshiva University in the APEX. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.

Last season, Lehman College was crowned the NCAA statistical champion in service aces per set. The Lightning recorded 205 aces in 94 sets played, an average of 2.18 per set.

The Lightning will have a very different look to the roster this year. Only two student-atheltes return from a year ago: senior Ahmad Abugharbieh (Yonkers, N.Y./Yonkers) and sophomore Ramon Jimenez (New York, N.Y./George Washington). Everyone else will be making their collegiate debut  tonight.
