QUEENS, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team fell on the road to York College, 79-53, in CUNY Athletic Conference play on Tuesday evening.

The Lightning (11-12, 5-9 CUNYAC) had the lead early, but the Cardinals (16-7, 11-3 CUNYAC) went on a 9-3 run to take the lead and pull away.

Senior guard Kelvin Gil (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) led the way for the Lightning with 13 points, while sophomore guard Edwin Diaz (City Island, N.Y./Westside) added nine points. Sophomore forward Jerrome Jones (Bronx, N.Y./Mount Vernon) and senior center Yve Jay Modi (Ramat Gan, Israel/Clarkstown South) each grabbed six rebounds.

The Lightning will return to action on Friday, February 14, for another CUNYAC game, this time against John Jay in the APEX. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
