NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team will travel to John Jay College for a key CUNY Athletic Conference match with the Bloodhounds. First serve is set for six o'clock.
This will be the second meeting between these two teams this season. In the first meeting, held in the APEX back in February, the Lightning (7-12, 2-6 CUNYAC) defeated the Bloodhounds (3-10, 1-7 CUNYAC) in straight sets. Scores were 25-22, 25-12, 25-22. For the match, senior outside hitter Miguel Gallardo (Bronx, N.Y./Salesian) had 15 digs, 13 kills, and three service aces, all team highs. Sophomore outside hitter Jaleel Lino (Bronx, N.Y./Toledo C.C.) recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs, while sophomore setter Roberto Perez (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Leadership) had 30 assists.
In the latest CUNYAC standings, Lehman is a full game ahead of John Jay for sixth place and just two games behind CCNY for fifth place.
