Men's Volleyball Splits at Multi-Match

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Lehman College men's volleyball team settled for a split at the CUNY Athletic Conference Multi-Match, hosted by John Jay College, on Saturday afternoon. The Lightning dropped the first match to Hunter College in straight sets before sweeping Medgar Evers College.

In the first match against Hunter (6-8,  5-1 CUNYAC), sophomore outside hitter Jaleel Lino (Bronx, N.Y./Toledo C.C.) registered three kills while junior outside hitter Miguel Gallardo (Bronx, N.Y./Salesian) tallied six assists.

In the second match, the Lightning (7-11, 2-6 CUNYAC) got back on track against the Cougars (0-11, 0-8 CUNYAC) as Gallardo tallied 26 assists and added two service aces. Freshman outside hitter Edmond Badu (Kumasi, Ghana/Marble Hill) slammed nine kills as well as four service aces. Sophomore middle Ramon Jimenez (New York, N.Y./George Washington) registered eight kills while Lino produced six kills.

Lehman will return home on Tuesday, March 11 for a non-conference tilt with Bard College in the APEX. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
