Swimming and Diving prepares for Staten Island

The Lehman College swimming and diving program will host the College of Staten Island in a CUNYAC conference meet on Friday, December 18th at the APEX swimming pool in their final competition of the 2015 calendar year.

The Lehman women's team is 3-2 thus far, and is coming off a highly-competitive loss to defending conference champion Hunter College. Sophomore Gabriela Rodriguez earned Lehman Female Student-Athlete of the Week and CUNYAC Diver of the Week honors this past week, taking two gold medals against the Hawks. Freshman Jessica Reynoso has been the standout rookie, winning the 50 and 100 free events handily in her last meet and helping to set a school record in the 200 medley relay.

For the Lightning men, it will be their first conference meet of the season. The team is off to a 3-1 start, with senior Anthony Preda leading the way. Preda has already been named Lehman Male Student-Athlete of the Week twice and CUNYAC Performer of the Week once in a young season, and took the gold medal in three events at Lehman's last meet against SUNY Maritime.

The Dolphins of Staten Island are 2-3 on the men's side and 2-5 for the women.

The meet will begin at 6:00 p.m in the APEX. To watch the livestreaming webcast of the meet as it happens, please click on the link below.
